Ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle lever is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel level is adequate, and inspect the spark plug for damage or wear. Also, verify that the safety interlock system is not engaged.
Warm up the engine, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly sharpen the mower blades, adjust the deck height for optimal cut, and ensure the underside of the deck is clean from debris and grass clippings.
Refer to the user manual for specific tire pressure recommendations, but generally, front tires should be around 14 PSI and rear tires around 10 PSI.
Disconnect the battery and remove the mower deck. Release the tension on the belt tensioner and remove the old belt. Install a new belt following the routing diagram in the manual, then reassemble.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose components, or worn engine mounts. Inspect and address these areas accordingly.
Perform regular maintenance every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. This includes checking belts, changing oil, and inspecting blades and tires.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
