Ensure the tractor is on a flat surface, the parking brake is engaged, and the blade lever is in the "off" position. Insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the "start" position, and hold until the engine begins.
Check if the blade engagement lever is properly engaged. Inspect the belt and pulleys for wear or damage. Ensure the engine is running at full throttle and the deck is clear of debris.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or once a year, whichever comes first. Always use the manufacturer's recommended oil type and grade.
Disconnect the spark plug wire and remove any debris around the plug. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Install the new spark plug by hand, then tighten with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Ensure blades are sharp and balanced, mow at the correct height, and avoid cutting wet grass. Regularly clean the deck and check tire pressure for an even cut.
Check the battery connections, ensure there is enough fuel, and inspect the spark plug for wear. Verify the safety switches are engaged and test the ignition switch.
Locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the tractor. Move the lever to the desired cutting height, making sure it locks into place.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and drain the fuel system. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect against dust and moisture.
Remove the mower deck from the tractor. Release the belt tension and remove the old belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt, ensuring it is properly seated on all pulleys, and reattach the deck.
Inspect the blades for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts on the engine and deck, and ensure the belt is not worn or misaligned.
