To clean the Jura Impressa J85, you should follow the automatic cleaning cycle prompts. Use Jura cleaning tablets and follow the on-screen instructions. Regularly clean the drip tray, coffee grounds container, and water tank with warm soapy water.
If the machine is not brewing coffee, ensure that the water tank is filled and properly seated. Check that the bean container is not empty and that there are no blockages in the coffee spout. Perform a cleaning cycle if necessary.
You can adjust the coffee strength by selecting the desired strength level on the display before brewing. Options typically include mild, normal, and strong. This setting adjusts the amount of coffee ground per serving.
This message can occur if the beans are not feeding properly due to oily residue or blockage. Try stirring the beans gently in the container and clean the grinder area. Ensure the beans are dry and not too oily.
To descale, use the Jura descaling tablets and follow the instructions on the machine's display. Ensure the drip tray and water tank are empty before starting the descaling process.
Regularly clean the milk frother by running the automatic cleaning cycle after each use. Disassemble the frother parts and soak them in warm soapy water weekly to prevent milk residue buildup.
To reset to factory settings, navigate to the maintenance menu on the display, select 'Factory Reset', and confirm the selection. This will erase all personalized settings.
Weak coffee can result from using old or stale beans, incorrect grind settings, or insufficient coffee grounds. Try adjusting the grind to a finer setting or increasing the coffee strength before brewing.
Unusual noises may indicate a blockage or mechanical issue. Turn off the machine, unplug it, and check for blockages in the grinder or brewing unit. If the noise persists, contact Jura customer support.
Use filtered or bottled water to reduce mineral deposits and regularly run the descaling program as recommended. Installing a water filter in the tank can also help prevent limescale build-up.
