To descale the Jura Impressa E8, follow these steps: 1) Fill the water tank with the descaling solution. 2) Place a container under the coffee spout. 3) Navigate to the maintenance menu and select 'Descale'. 4) Follow the on-screen instructions until the process is complete.
Ensure the machine is preheated by running a hot water cycle before brewing. Additionally, check the temperature settings in the menu and adjust to a higher setting if necessary.
To adjust the coffee strength, press the 'P' button, navigate to 'Product', and select your desired coffee. Use the rotary switch to change the strength settings to your preference.
Ensure the beans are moving freely by stirring them in the hopper. Check for any blockages in the grinder and clean it if necessary.
The milk system should be cleaned daily after use. Use the Jura Milk System Cleaner and follow the instructions in the machine's maintenance menu to ensure proper cleaning.
Check that the milk frother is clean and free from blockages. Ensure that the milk is cold and fresh. If the problem persists, inspect the milk tube for any cracks or damage.
To reset the machine, press the 'P' button, navigate to 'Reset', and select 'Factory Reset'. Confirm your choice by pressing the rotary switch.
The 'Empty Tray' message indicates that the drip tray and grounds container need to be emptied. Remove, empty, and clean both components before reinserting them into the machine.
Adjust the grind size using the grinder adjustment lever inside the bean hopper. For espresso, a finer grind is recommended. Make adjustments while the grinder is running for the best results.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the milk system daily, emptying the drip tray and coffee grounds container, descaling every few months, and replacing the water filter as indicated by the machine.
