To start the Jonsered LT2116CMA2, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the choke position if the engine is cold, turn the ignition key to the start position, and release once the engine starts.
It is recommended to check the oil level before each use, clean the air filter every 25 hours, replace the oil every 50 hours, and sharpen or replace the blades at the start of each mowing season.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for wear, and verify that all safety switches are engaged.
Use SAE 30 oil in temperatures above 32°F, and SAE 5W-30 for colder temperatures. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
To change the blades, disconnect the spark plug wire, lift the mower to access the blades, use a wrench to remove the blade bolts, replace the blades, and tighten the bolts securely.
If the mower is not cutting evenly, check that the tire pressure is equal on all sides, the blades are sharp and balanced, and the deck is level. Adjust as necessary.
After use, remove grass clippings from the deck using a brush or hose, clean the air filter, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water on mechanical parts.
If the transmission is not engaging, ensure the drive belts are in good condition, check for obstructions in the transmission area, and verify that the transmission lever is correctly positioned.
For winter storage, clean the mower thoroughly, drain the fuel, change the oil, disconnect the battery, and store in a dry, protected area. Cover with a tarp to prevent dust accumulation.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose bolts, or worn bearings. Check and replace blades if necessary, tighten any loose bolts, and inspect bearings.
