To start the Jonsered CC2245 Brushcutter, first ensure that the stop switch is in the 'ON' position. Then, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible inside. Set the choke control to the closed position, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, and then set the choke to the open position and pull the starter again to start the engine.
Use a high-quality unleaded gasoline mixed with a high-grade 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1 for optimal performance and engine longevity.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of operation to ensure optimal performance and prevent engine damage. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily soiled.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust until the engine runs smoothly without the cutting attachment moving.
If the Jonsered CC2245 won't start, check the following: ensure the stop switch is in the 'ON' position, confirm there is fresh fuel in the tank, inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, and verify that the air filter is clean.
If the cutting line is not advancing, check for tangles or obstructions in the trimmer head, ensure the line is wound correctly, and replace the line if it is worn or too short. Tap the trimmer head on the ground to release more line if necessary.
To replace the cutting line, first turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out the spool, and replace the line by winding it in the direction indicated on the spool. Reassemble the head and ensure the line is properly fed through the eyelets.
For off-season storage, clean the brushcutter thoroughly, remove any fuel by running the engine dry, and store it in a dry, cool place. Lubricate moving parts and cover the machine to protect it from dust and debris.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, lubricating the gearhead, tightening any loose screws or nuts, and examining the fuel system for leaks or damage.
To safely operate the brushcutter, wear appropriate protective gear such as goggles, gloves, and ear protection. Maintain a firm grip on the handles, keep the cutting area clear of bystanders, and never operate the machine with faulty or missing parts.
