To start the Jonsered GC2225 Trimmer, ensure that it is on a flat surface. Press the primer bulb several times until it fills with fuel. Set the choke lever to the 'Start' position. Pull the starter rope until the engine starts, then move the choke to the 'Run' position.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-cycle oil at a 50:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of 89 or higher.
Replace the trimmer line when it becomes too short or when it breaks frequently. Regular inspection and replacement ensure optimal performance.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the air filter. Wash it with warm soapy water, rinse, and allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of oil to the filter before reinstalling it.
Ensure that the trimmer line is the correct length and diameter. Check for any debris or tangled grass around the trimmer head. Regular maintenance and correct line installation will improve cutting efficiency.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and the choke is set properly.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, examining the trimmer line, and ensuring that all screws and bolts are tight.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old spark plug. Install the new spark plug by threading it by hand, then tighten it with the socket. Reattach the spark plug wire.
Inspect the trimmer head for damage or loose parts. Check that the cutting attachment is properly installed and balanced. Tighten any loose components and ensure the trimmer line is correctly wound.
Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear fuel from the carburetor. Clean the trimmer thoroughly and store it in a dry, cool place. It's also recommended to remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder before storage.
