To start the Jonsered LM2153CMD Lawn Mower, first ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Then, pull the choke lever to the choke position, press the primer bulb a few times, and pull the starter cord briskly. Once the engine starts, adjust the choke to the run position.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol-blended fuels with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
The oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
If the mower does not start, check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is connected securely and not fouled, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a service professional.
The cutting height can be adjusted using the lever located near each wheel. Move the levers to raise or lower the deck to the desired height setting. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
After each use, clean the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris, check the air filter and clean or replace if necessary, inspect the blade for sharpness, and ensure all nuts and bolts are tight.
To sharpen the blade, disconnect the spark plug for safety, then remove the blade from the mower. Use a file or bench grinder to sharpen the blade edges evenly, ensuring it is balanced before reinstallation.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade or loose components. Check for blade damage or imbalance and tighten any loose bolts. Rebalance or replace the blade if necessary.
To prepare for winter storage, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, protected area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
To replace the air filter, remove the cover by unscrewing it or unlatching the clips. Take out the old filter and insert a new one of the same type, ensuring it fits snugly. Replace the cover securely.
