To start the Jonsered GC2225C Trimmer, ensure the trimmer is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the "choke" position, press the fuel bulb several times until fuel is visible, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then move the choke to "run" and pull again to start.
Use a high-quality unleaded gasoline mixed with a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1 for optimal performance and engine longevity.
It is recommended to check and clean the air filter after every 5 hours of operation to ensure optimal performance and prevent engine damage.
The trimmer line may break frequently due to overexposure to the sun, incorrect line size, or hitting hard surfaces. Ensure you're using the correct line size and avoid contact with hard objects. Store line in a cool, dry place.
To replace the trimmer line, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the spool from the trimmer head, remove any old line, and insert the new line according to the directional arrows on the spool.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, inspecting and replacing the spark plug annually, checking for fuel leaks, and inspecting the trimmer head and line.
A rough run or lack of power can be due to a dirty air filter, old fuel, or a clogged carburetor. Clean or replace the air filter, use fresh fuel, and clean the carburetor to resolve the issue.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws on the side of the carburetor. Turn the screws to adjust the idle and air-fuel mixture according to the specifications in the user manual.
If the trimmer head is not spinning, check the drive shaft for damage, ensure the throttle cable is connected, and inspect the clutch for wear or damage. Replace any faulty parts as necessary.
To store the trimmer, run it dry of fuel, clean the exterior, remove the spark plug, and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Pull the starter rope to distribute the oil and store the trimmer in a dry place.
