To start the Jonsered CS2252 chainsaw, ensure the chain brake is engaged, activate the choke, press the primer bulb a few times, pull the starter cord until the engine fires, then push the choke in to allow the engine to run.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89, mixed with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of operation. Replace it if it's damaged or excessively dirty.
Use a high-quality bar and chain oil to ensure proper lubrication and performance. Avoid using motor oil or any non-specific alternatives.
Loosen the bar nuts slightly, adjust the tension screw until the chain is snug against the bar, then retighten the bar nuts while ensuring the chain can still move freely.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, inspect the air filter, and ensure the choke and primer bulb are functioning correctly.
Use a round file that matches the chain's pitch to sharpen the cutters at the correct angle. Regularly check and file the depth gauges as well.
Drain the fuel, clean the chainsaw thoroughly, store it in a dry place, and cover the bar and chain with a protective sheath.
Ensure the air filter and fuel filter are clean, check for proper carburetor adjustment, and confirm the fuel mixture is correct.
Regularly clean the air filter, inspect and clean the spark plug, check the chain tension, lubricate the bar and chain, and inspect for any loose or damaged parts.
