To start the Husqvarna Z 248F, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the motion control levers are in the neutral position. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release it once the engine starts.
Check if the PTO switch is on, the drive belts are intact, and the battery is fully charged. If the issue persists, inspect the electrical connections and the clutch for any signs of damage.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 50 hours or once per mowing season, whichever comes first.
Uneven cutting can be caused by a misaligned or unbalanced mower deck, dull blades, or uneven tire pressure. Ensure the deck is level, the blades are sharp, and the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.
After each use, clean the mower deck by removing grass clippings and debris. Use a garden hose to rinse the underside and a scraper to remove any stuck-on grass. Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected before cleaning.
To extend battery life, keep the battery terminals clean and tight, charge the battery regularly during storage, and store it in a dry, cool place. Avoid leaving the ignition on when the mower is not in use.
Before winter storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery, and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Store the mower in a dry place and cover it to protect it from dust and moisture.
If the mower won’t start, check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, make sure the mower is in neutral and the parking brake is engaged.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or damaged pulleys. Check the blades for balance and tighten any loose hardware. Inspect the pulleys and replace them if needed.
To adjust the cutting height, use the deck lift lever located on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, which ranges from 1.5 inches to 4 inches.
