To break in the engine, avoid full-throttle starts and high RPMs during the first 600 miles (1,000 km). Gradually increase speed and vary the engine load to ensure proper seating of components.
The maintenance schedule includes checks and services every 1,000 km or 620 miles, with major maintenance at 7,500 km or 4,660 miles. Refer to the owner's manual for a detailed schedule.
If the motorcycle won't start, check the battery charge, ensure the kill switch is in the 'run' position, and verify that the fuel is sufficient. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and replace if necessary.
Use a high-quality 10W-40 fully synthetic motorcycle oil that meets API SL and JASO MA standards to ensure optimal performance and protection.
To adjust the chain tension, first place the motorcycle on a stand. Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain tension using the adjuster bolts, and ensure the chain has 5-7 mm of slack. Tighten the axle nut after adjustment.
If the motorcycle overheats, pull over safely and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down, check the coolant level, and ensure the radiator is not obstructed. Consult a mechanic if the problem persists.
Inspect the air filter every 7,500 km (4,660 miles) and replace it as needed, especially if riding in dusty conditions. Regular inspection ensures optimal engine performance and efficiency.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tire is 29 psi (2.0 bar) and for the rear tire is 32 psi (2.2 bar). Check tire pressures regularly for safe handling and longevity.
Regularly inspect the brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary. Clean the brake calipers and rotors with a non-corrosive brake cleaner to ensure effective braking performance.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced wheels or worn tires. Check tire balance and inspect for uneven wear. Ensure all engine mounts and bolts are tightened to specification.
