To change the blades, first ensure the mower is off and the parking brake is engaged. Use a socket wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace the old blade with a new one, ensuring the cutting edge is facing the correct direction. Tighten the bolt securely.
Regular maintenance should include checking the oil before each use, replacing the oil every 50 hours of operation, and cleaning the air filter monthly. Sharpen the blades every 25 hours and inspect belts and pulleys regularly.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Verify the spark plug is clean and properly connected. If the mower still doesn't start, check the battery charge and connections.
Husqvarna recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for cooler temperatures. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific guidelines.
To level the deck, park the mower on a flat surface. Measure the height of the blade tips from the ground on both sides. Adjust the lift link on the lower side until both sides are equal in height.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades for damage and balance them if necessary. Also, inspect the deck for debris and ensure all mounting bolts are tight.
To clean the carburetor, first remove the air filter and then the carburetor itself. Use a carburetor cleaner spray to clean the internal parts. Reassemble carefully, ensuring all gaskets are in place.
Ensure the blades are sharp and balanced. Adjust the cutting height appropriately for the grass type. Mow at full throttle and avoid mowing wet grass for the best results.
Check the drive belt for damage or dislodgement. Inspect the transmission drive pulley and linkage for issues. If necessary, consult the service manual for further troubleshooting steps.
Clean the mower thoroughly and remove any grass clippings. Drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry place and disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
