Husqvarna TS 248G Operator's Manual

To change the oil, first run the engine for a few minutes to warm it up, allowing the oil to drain more easily. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Place an oil pan under the mower, remove the oil drain plug, and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug, refill with the recommended oil type, and reattach the spark plug wire.
The Husqvarna TS 248G lawn mower is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and no more than 10% ethanol content.
Blades should be sharpened after every 25 hours of use or at least once a mowing season. If you notice uneven cutting or torn grass, the blades should be checked and sharpened more frequently.
To store the mower for winter, clean the mower deck thoroughly, change the oil, remove the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. You should also add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank, run the engine for a few minutes, and finally, cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for damage or fouling, and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and free of debris. Check the battery connections and charge the battery if needed.
Ensure that the blades are sharp and balanced. Regularly check the tire pressure and adjust as needed. Mow at the correct height setting for your grass type, and avoid cutting wet grass for optimal performance.
Before each mowing session, check the oil level and top up if necessary, ensure the air filter is clean, check the tire pressure, inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and ensure all safety features are functioning properly.
To clean the cutting deck, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from under the deck. For stubborn debris, a plastic scraper can be used. Allow the deck to dry completely before storage.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired height setting for your grass type. Ensure both sides are set to the same height to maintain an even cut.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Inspect the blades for damage and ensure they are properly balanced. Check all bolts and fasteners to ensure they are tight. If vibration persists, consult a professional technician.
