To start the Husqvarna TS 138L, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is in the "OFF" position, and the throttle control is set to choke. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
The Husqvarna TS 138L should be filled with unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
To clean the cutting deck, park the mower on a flat surface, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to rinse the underside of the deck, removing grass clippings and debris.
Remove the spark plug to prevent accidental starting. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, then sharpen the blade using a file or bench grinder. Reinstall the blade securely before reconnecting the spark plug.
Check the fuel level, battery charge, and spark plug condition. Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is off. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a service professional.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the lever on the right side of the mower. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ranging from 1.5 to 4 inches.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of use. Replace it annually or when it appears dirty or damaged to ensure optimal engine performance.
Perform regular maintenance including checking the oil, air filter, and spark plug every 25 hours of use. Sharpen blades and clean the deck as needed. Refer to the manual for a detailed schedule.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer. Store it in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the battery and keep it charged.
