Husqvarna T540XP II 2022 Operator's Manual

To start the Husqvarna T540XP II, ensure the chain brake is engaged, switch on the ignition, prime the fuel pump, set the choke, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Then, set the choke to run and pull again to start.
To maintain proper chain tension, ensure the chain is tight against the guide bar, but can still be moved by hand. Adjust the tensioning screw as needed, and always check tension before each use.
Clean the air filter after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Remove the filter, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Use a high-quality unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89, mixed with a 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1.
First, check the fuel and spark plug. Ensure the fuel is fresh and the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Check for clogged air filters or a flooded engine. Ensure the on/off switch is functional.
Signs include the sawdust being fine instead of coarse, the chain needing more pressure to cut, and the chainsaw pulling to one side during cuts.
Empty the fuel tank, clean the exterior, remove the chain and guide bar, and store them in a dry place. Cover the chainsaw with a protective cover to prevent dust accumulation.
Check the chain tension and adjust as necessary. Inspect the chain for damage or wear, and ensure the guide bar and sprocket are aligned and not worn out.
Check the oil level by looking through the oil tank's transparent window or by opening the oil tank cap. Refill with bar and chain oil as needed.
After each use, clean the chainsaw body, check the chain tension, clean the guide bar groove, and inspect the air filter, replacing it if necessary.
