To start the Husqvarna M-ZT 52 lawn mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to start the engine. Once it's running, adjust the throttle to the desired setting.
Husqvarna recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Always check the oil level before each use.
Blades should be sharpened every 25 hours of use or more frequently if you notice uneven grass cutting. Ensure blades are balanced after sharpening.
To replace the mower deck belt, first disengage the PTO and set the parking brake. Remove the mower deck, release the belt tension, and replace the belt with a new one. Reassemble the deck and check for proper operation.
The cutting height can be adjusted using the deck lift lever located on the operator's right side. Move the lever to the desired cutting height, ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 inches.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank has fuel, and verify the spark plug is functioning. Additionally, make sure the parking brake is engaged and the PTO switch is off.
The air filter should be checked every 25 hours and replaced every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Operating in dusty conditions may require more frequent changes.
Ethanol blends up to E10 (10% ethanol) are acceptable. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol, as it can cause engine damage and performance issues.
To winterize, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, stabilize the fuel, remove the battery, and store it in a dry, cool place. Check the tire pressure and cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Before the mowing season, change the oil and filter, check the air filter, inspect the blades for sharpness, check tire pressure, and ensure all belts and cables are in good condition. Charge the battery if necessary.
