To change the oil, warm up the engine for a few minutes, then stop it. Remove the oil cap and drain plug, and let the old oil drain into a pan. Replace the drain plug and fill with new oil as specified in the manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and a maximum ethanol content of 10%. Avoid using stale or contaminated fuel.
Check the battery charge, ensure the fuel tank is full, inspect the spark plug for wear, and verify that the safety switches are engaged.
Check the blade drive belt for damage or slippage, ensure the PTO switch is operational, and inspect the clutch and related wiring.
Sharpen the blades at least once per mowing season or more frequently if you notice a decline in cutting performance.
The recommended tire pressure is typically around 15 PSI for the front tires and 10 PSI for the rear tires, but always check the manual for specific details.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it using compressed air or wash it with soapy water if it’s a foam filter. Dry completely before reinstalling.
Check for debris stuck in the blades, inspect the blade balance, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened properly.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, empty the fuel tank or add a stabilizer, and store in a dry, covered area. Remove the battery and store it in a cool place.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting the air filter, sharpening blades, checking tire pressure, and inspecting belts and spark plugs for wear.
