To attach the CES42A grass catcher, first ensure the mower is turned off. Align the hooks on the grass catcher with the brackets on the rear of the mower deck and secure it in place. Ensure that it is properly latched before use.
Check if the grass catcher is properly attached and not clogged. Clean any debris from the chute and ensure the grass catcher bag is not full. Also, inspect the mower blades for sharpness.
Empty the grass catcher whenever it becomes approximately 75% full to ensure optimal performance and prevent clogging.
It is not recommended to use the grass catcher in wet conditions as wet grass can clog the chute and reduce collection efficiency.
Remove the bag from the mower and empty it. Use a hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris, and let it air dry completely before reattaching.
Regularly inspect the bag for tears and replace if necessary. Clean the chute and bag after each use, and check for secure attachment to the mower.
Ensure that the grass catcher is the correct model for your mower. Check for any obstructions or damage to the mounting brackets and hooks. Adjust them if necessary for a secure fit.
Small tears can be temporarily patched with a strong fabric adhesive, but for best results and durability, replacing the bag is recommended.
Clean the catcher thoroughly and allow it to dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.
Stop the mower immediately and reattach the grass catcher securely. Check the hooks and latches for damage or wear, and ensure they are functioning properly.
