To start the Husqvarna FS400 LV Saw, ensure that the fuel valve is open, set the choke lever to the "Start" position, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to the "Run" position.
If the saw does not start, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the choke is in the correct position and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Clean or replace the air filter if it is clogged.
To maintain the blade, regularly check for any signs of damage or wear. Clean the blade after each use to remove debris and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust. Sharpen the blade as needed to ensure optimal cutting performance.
The Husqvarna FS400 LV Saw is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Always use fresh fuel and consider adding a fuel stabilizer if the saw will not be used for an extended period.
If the saw vibrates excessively, check to ensure the blade is properly balanced and securely mounted. Inspect the drive belt for wear and tension, and make sure all components are tightened according to the manufacturer's specifications.
To change the blade, first disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starts. Use the appropriate wrench to loosen and remove the blade bolt, then carefully remove the old blade. Install the new blade, ensuring it is properly aligned, and tighten the bolt securely.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the air filter, inspecting and cleaning the spark plug, checking the drive belt for wear, and ensuring all bolts and nuts are properly tightened. Lubricate moving parts as recommended in the user manual.
To adjust the cutting depth, locate the depth adjustment lever or knob on the saw. Turn the knob or move the lever to raise or lower the blade to the desired cutting depth. Always ensure the saw is off and the blade is stationary before making adjustments.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clear of obstructions and that the saw is on a stable surface. Follow all safety guidelines outlined in the user manual.
Store the saw in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight. Empty the fuel tank if storing for an extended period to prevent fuel degradation. Clean the saw thoroughly and cover it to protect it from dust and debris.
