The correct fuel mix ratio for the Husqvarna 585 chainsaw is 50:1. This means 50 parts gasoline to 1 part two-stroke oil.
To adjust the chain tension, first loosen the bar nuts slightly. Then, turn the chain tensioning screw clockwise to tighten the chain, or counterclockwise to loosen it. Ensure the chain is snug but can still be pulled around the bar by hand.
If your chainsaw won't start, check the fuel level, spark plug, and air filter. Ensure the kill switch is in the "on" position and that the choke is set correctly. If problems persist, consult the manual or a professional technician.
The air filter should be cleaned after every 5 hours of operation. If you are working in very dusty conditions, you may need to clean it more frequently.
Use high-quality bar and chain oil specifically designed for chainsaws. This oil has additives that reduce wear and maintain a proper flow in various temperature conditions.
Ensure the chain tension is correct, and the bar nuts are tightened securely. Also, check for any worn or damaged drive links and replace the chain if necessary.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug, sharpening the chain, and inspecting the bar and chain for wear. Also, ensure the chain brake is functioning properly.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. Clean the chainsaw thoroughly, check for any damage or wear, and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
Overheating can be caused by a dirty air filter, a dull chain, or improper fuel mix. Ensure that the air filter is clean, the chain is sharp, and the fuel mix is correct.
To improve the lifespan, perform regular maintenance, use high-quality fuel and oil, store the chainsaw properly, and avoid overworking the engine. Regularly inspect the chainsaw for any signs of wear or damage.
