To start the Husqvarna 565 Chainsaw, ensure the chain brake is engaged, set the choke control to the start position, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then push the choke control back to the run position and pull the starter handle again until the engine starts.
The correct fuel mixture for the Husqvarna 565 Chainsaw is a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to high-quality two-stroke engine oil.
If the chainsaw won't start, check the fuel level and mixture, inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling, ensure the air filter is clean, and check if the chain brake is disengaged.
Sharpen the chain whenever it becomes dull, which can be after every few hours of use. Regular inspection and sharpening help maintain optimal cutting performance.
After each use, clean the air filter, check and tighten any loose screws or bolts, clean debris from the saw body, and inspect the chain tension and condition.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the bar nuts slightly, turn the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but moves freely by hand, then retighten the bar nuts securely.
If the chain is smoking, it may be too tight or not lubricated properly. Check the chain tension and ensure the chain oil reservoir is filled and functioning.
To replace the air filter, remove the top cover, take out the old filter, and install a new air filter ensuring it fits snugly in place before replacing the cover.
A chainsaw losing power may be due to a clogged air filter, a dull chain, poor fuel quality, or exhaust blockage. Regular maintenance and using fresh fuel can help prevent this issue.
For long-term storage, empty the fuel tank, run the engine to burn any remaining fuel, clean the chainsaw thoroughly, lubricate the chain and bar, and store it in a dry, cool place.
