To start the Husqvarna 545FX AutoTune Brushcutter, first ensure it is on a flat surface. Set the stop switch to the ON position, then press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible. Pull the choke control fully out and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once it fires, push the choke back in and continue pulling until the engine starts.
The AutoTune function requires minimal maintenance. Ensure the air filter is clean and the fuel is fresh and clean. Regularly check for software updates at your local Husqvarna dealer to ensure optimal performance.
If the engine does not start, check for fuel in the tank and confirm that the stop switch is in the ON position. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean, and if the problem persists, consult the manual or a professional technician.
Use a high-quality unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89, mixed with a high-quality 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of use. Replace the air filter if it shows signs of wear or damage to ensure the engine runs efficiently.
While the 545FX is designed for outdoor use, avoid using it in excessively wet conditions to prevent damage to the engine and other components. If unavoidable, ensure all components are dry before storage.
Clean the brushcutter thoroughly, empty the fuel tank, and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Store the brushcutter in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight. Lubricate any moving parts to prevent rust.
To replace the trimmer line, first remove the spool cover. Take out any remaining line, then insert a new line into the hole in the center of the spool. Wind the line tightly in the direction indicated on the spool, then reattach the cover.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced cutting attachment or loose components. Check that the cutting attachment is securely fastened and inspect it for damage. Tighten any loose parts and replace damaged attachments.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle speed screw on the carburetor. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Ensure the engine runs smoothly without the cutting attachment moving at idle.
