To start the Husqvarna 545F Brushcutter, ensure the stop switch is in the "ON" position. Pump the primer bulb until fuel fills the bulb. Set the choke to the closed position if starting cold. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then open the choke and pull again to start.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89, mixed with a high-quality 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1. Do not use automotive oil or oil intended for water-cooled engines.
To replace the trimmer line, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head and take out the spool. Wind new line onto the spool following the directional arrows, then reassemble the trimmer head.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes checking and cleaning the air filter every 25 hours of use, inspecting the spark plug every 100 hours, and checking the fuel system regularly for leaks or damage.
If the engine won't start, check if there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for damage or fouling and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and not blocked.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws marked L, H, and T. Adjust the L screw for low speed, the H screw for high speed, and the T screw for idle speed, ensuring the engine runs smoothly throughout the RPM range.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced or damaged cutting attachment. Check the trimmer head and blades for damage or imbalance, and replace if necessary. Ensure all screws and nuts are tightened securely.
The Husqvarna 545F Brushcutter is designed for cutting grass and heavy vegetation. It is not recommended for trimming hedges, as it lacks the precision and safety features required for hedge trimming.
When using the Husqvarna 545F Brushcutter, wear protective gear including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, long pants, and sturdy shoes. Always follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines.
To store the brushcutter, clean the unit thoroughly and drain the fuel tank. Remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter rope to distribute the oil. Store in a dry, cool place.
