To start the Husqvarna 535LS trimmer, ensure the stop switch is in the 'ON' position, press the primer bulb until fuel is visible, set the choke to 'COLD START' if the engine is cold, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then set the choke to 'RUN' and pull the starter again until the engine starts.
Regular maintenance includes checking the air filter and spark plug every 25 hours of use, cleaning the cooling system every 100 hours, and inspecting the fuel system monthly for leaks or damage.
To replace the trimmer line, first ensure the trimmer is off and disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out the old line, and insert a new line following the directional arrows on the spool. Reassemble the trimmer head.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1. Avoid using ethanol-rich fuels as they can damage the engine.
If the trimmer won't start, check for fuel supply, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, verify the air filter is not clogged, and ensure the on/off switch is set to 'ON'.
For storage, clean the trimmer thoroughly, empty the fuel tank, and run the engine until it stops. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety.
Adjust the carburetor by locating the adjustment screws on the side of the carburetor. Turn the screws gently to fine-tune the engine's idle speed and fuel mixture. Refer to the manual for specific settings.
Check that the trimmer head is securely attached and balanced. Inspect the drive shaft and clutch for damage. Excessive vibration can be caused by a bent shaft or imbalanced trimmer head.
If the trimmer stalls, check the fuel mixture, clean the air filter, and inspect the spark plug. Ensure the carburetor is properly adjusted and that there are no fuel blockages.
The spark plug should be replaced every 100 hours of operation or once per season to ensure optimal performance. Always use the recommended type of spark plug.
