To start the Husqvarna 522HD60S Trimmer, ensure the choke is closed for a cold start, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible, set the throttle to the start position, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Then, open the choke.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 90, mixed with high-quality 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1.
Check and clean the air filter every 25 hours of operation, or more frequently if used in dusty conditions. Replace the filter if it is damaged.
Perform a general inspection before each use, clean the air filter every 25 hours, change the spark plug annually, and check the fuel system regularly for leaks or damage.
Ensure the fuel tank has fresh fuel, the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, the air filter is clean, and the choke is set correctly. Inspect the fuel lines for blockages.
Excessive vibration can be caused by loose parts, damaged blades, or an unbalanced cutting attachment. Inspect and tighten any loose parts, and replace damaged blades.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug boot, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, check the gap on the new plug (0.6 mm), and install the new plug. Reattach the spark plug boot.
Ensure you are using the correct line diameter and material for your trimmer. Avoid hitting hard surfaces and consider using a line with reinforced cores for added durability.
To clean the carburetor, first drain the fuel, remove the air filter, and detach the carburetor. Use a carburetor cleaner spray to clean all parts, ensuring all jets and passages are clear. Reassemble in reverse order.
Always use fresh, properly mixed fuel, store the trimmer in a cool, dry place, and run the engine dry or use a fuel stabilizer if storing for more than 30 days.
