To start the Husqvarna 435 Chainsaw, first ensure the chain brake is engaged. Move the combined choke/stop control to the choke position. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then push the choke control to the run position and pull again to start.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil in a 50:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of at least 89.
Check that the chainsaw has fresh fuel and the correct fuel mixture. Ensure the spark plug is clean and the air filter is not clogged. Verify that the kill switch is in the correct position.
The chain should be tensioned so that it fits snugly against the underside of the guide bar, but it should still be possible to pull it around by hand.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently in very dusty conditions.
First, ensure the chainsaw is off and the chain brake is engaged. Remove the bar nuts and the clutch cover. Replace the old chain with a new one, ensuring it is properly seated on the bar and sprocket. Reattach the clutch cover and tighten the bar nuts.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, ensuring proper chain tension, and verifying that the bar and chain oil reservoir is full.
This could be due to improper chain tensioning or wear on the chain or bar. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and inspect the bar and chain for signs of wear or damage.
Use a round file with the correct diameter for your chain. File each cutter with smooth, even strokes while maintaining the proper angle. Ensure all cutters are the same length for even cutting performance.
Check that the oil cap is properly sealed and that there are no cracks in the oil tank. Clean any debris from the oil delivery system and inspect for leaks.
