To start the Husqvarna 350BF Leaf Blower, first ensure the fuel tank is filled with the correct fuel mix. Set the blower on a flat surface, press the primer bulb several times until it fills with fuel, set the choke to the closed position, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then set the choke to open and pull again to start.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke engine oil in a 50:1 ratio. Make sure the gasoline has an octane rating of at least 89.
If the leaf blower won't start, check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, verify the air filter is clean, and make sure the choke and primer bulb are functioning correctly.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug annually, inspecting fuel lines and replacing if necessary, and checking the muffler and exhaust system for blockages.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, allow it to dry completely, and then reinstall it. Replace the filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Excessive vibration could be caused by damaged or unbalanced impeller blades, loose screws or bolts, or issues with the engine mounts. Inspect these components and tighten or replace as necessary.
If the blower is underpowered, check the air filter and exhaust for blockages, ensure the fuel mix is correct, inspect the spark plug, and verify the throttle cable is properly adjusted.
Before storage, empty the fuel tank, run the engine to burn off remaining fuel, clean the blower thoroughly, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, replace the spark plug, and store in a dry place.
Husqvarna recommends using gasoline with no more than 10% ethanol content to avoid damage to the fuel system. Higher ethanol blends can cause issues with engine performance and longevity.
If you smell fuel, immediately turn off the blower and check for fuel leaks in the tank, fuel lines, and carburetor. Ensure all connections are tight and the fuel cap is secure. Repair or replace any damaged components before use.
