The Husqvarna 322HD60 Trimmer requires a fuel mixture of 50:1, which is 2% oil. Use high-quality two-stroke engine oil and fresh unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89.
To clean the air filter, remove the filter cover, take out the air filter, and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely before reinstalling it. Ensure the filter is properly seated and the cover is securely fastened.
First, ensure the trimmer is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected. Secure the trimmer and use a file or sharpening stone to sharpen the blades evenly. Follow the existing angle of the blades and remove any burrs. Reconnect the spark plug once done.
Regularly check and clean the cooling fins and air intake areas to prevent blockages. Ensure the air filter is clean and replace it if necessary. Always use the correct fuel mixture and avoid operating the trimmer in extremely hot conditions for prolonged periods.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh and properly mixed. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and unobstructed. Make sure the on/off switch is in the correct position and try starting again.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 25 hours of use or seasonally, whichever comes first. This includes cleaning the air filter, checking the spark plug, inspecting the fuel system, and sharpening the blades.
Before storing, clean the trimmer thoroughly and empty the fuel tank. Run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter cord a few times to distribute the oil. Store in a dry, cool place.
Adjusting the carburetor should be done carefully. Locate the adjustment screws on the carburetor. Start the engine and let it warm up. Use a screwdriver to adjust the low-speed (L) and high-speed (H) screws to achieve smooth idling and optimal performance. Consult the manual for specific settings.
Use a Champion RCJ6Y or equivalent spark plug for the Husqvarna 322HD60 Trimmer. Ensure the spark plug gap is set to 0.5 mm (0.020 inches) for optimal performance.
First, ensure the engine is off and cooled down. Remove the screws holding the starter assembly. Take out the old recoil starter, and replace it with a new one. Reattach the starter assembly and secure it with screws. Test the new starter to ensure it functions correctly.
