To start the Husqvarna 2748 GLS Lawn Mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the blade engagement lever is disengaged, and the throttle lever is set to the 'choke' position. Turn the ignition key clockwise to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Regular maintenance for the Husqvarna 2748 GLS includes checking the oil level before each use, replacing the oil every 25 hours, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, sharpening or replacing blades as needed, and inspecting belts for wear every 50 hours.
If the mower won't start, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the battery is charged, and the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Check for clogged fuel filters and inspect the ignition system for faults.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 5W-30 to ensure proper lubrication.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety. Lift the mower deck to access the blades. Use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, then replace the blade. Ensure the blade is correctly oriented and securely fastened.
If the mower cuts unevenly, check the tire pressure and ensure it is even. Inspect the blades for damage or dullness and replace or sharpen them as needed. Verify that the mower deck is level.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and clean it with mild detergent and water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. If the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose engine mounting bolts, or worn-out belts. Inspect these components and tighten or replace them as necessary.
To ensure longevity, perform regular maintenance, store the mower in a dry place, clean the deck after each use, and use fresh, clean fuel. Properly winterize the mower if storing it during the off-season.
To winterize, drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, remove and clean the battery, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and debris.
