To start the Husqvarna 150BT, first ensure the fuel tank is filled. Set the throttle to the start position, prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb six times, and set the choke to the closed position. Pull the starter handle until the engine begins to run, then gradually open the choke.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter after every 25 hours of use, inspecting the spark plug every 50 hours, and checking the fuel system for leaks. Replace the air filter and spark plug as needed.
If the blower won't start, ensure the fuel is fresh and mixed correctly. Check for a clogged air filter or a fouled spark plug. Inspect the ignition system and carburetor for issues.
Check the air filter for dirt or debris and clean it if necessary. Inspect the spark plug for carbon build-up and replace if needed. Ensure the fuel is fresh and the fuel filter is not clogged.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89, mixed with high-quality 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1. Avoid using fuels with more than 10% ethanol.
Adjust the carburetor by locating the adjustment screws. Turn the low-speed screw clockwise until it lightly seats, then counterclockwise one full turn. Adjust the high-speed screw similarly. Fine-tune while the engine idles.
Check for loose screws and bolts. Inspect the impeller for damage or debris. Balance the impeller if necessary and ensure the blower tube is securely attached.
The air filter should be cleaned after every 25 hours of use and replaced at least annually or more often if used in dusty conditions.
Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stalls. Clean the blower thoroughly and store it in a dry, cool location. Consider removing the spark plug and applying a few drops of oil into the cylinder.
Ensure the air intake and cooling fins are free from debris. Check that the fuel mixture is correct and avoid running the blower at full throttle for extended periods.
