To start the Husqvarna 122HD45 Trimmer, ensure the choke is in the closed position, push the primer bulb until fuel is visible, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then move the choke to the open position and pull again until the engine starts.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke oil in a 50:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of at least 89 (RON).
Check if the fuel tank has fresh fuel, inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the choke and primer bulb are functioning correctly.
The air filter should be checked before each use and cleaned if necessary. Replace the air filter if it shows signs of damage or is excessively dirty.
Regularly inspect the blade for damage and sharpness. Sharpen the blade as needed and apply machine oil to protect against rust and ensure smooth operation.
Ensure that the blade is balanced and correctly installed. Also, check that the anti-vibration mounts are in good condition and replace them if worn out.
Check for clogs or blockages in the cooling fins, ensure the air filter is clean, and make sure the fuel mixture is correct. Allow the engine to cool before using it again.
Empty the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Pull the starter rope several times to distribute the oil and then store in a dry place.
Wear protective eyewear, gloves, and long clothing. Ensure the immediate area is clear of debris and bystanders, and always operate the trimmer with both hands.
Adjust the carburetor by turning the low-speed and high-speed screws to achieve a smooth idle and optimal performance at full throttle. Refer to the owner's manual for specific adjustment procedures.
