To calibrate the treadmill, first ensure it is on a level surface. Enter the calibration mode by pressing and holding the speed increase and stop buttons simultaneously for a few seconds until you see the display change. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process.
If the belt slips, check the tension and alignment of the belt. Adjust the tension by turning the adjustment bolts at the rear end of the treadmill deck. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
To lubricate the belt, first unplug the treadmill. Lift the belt and apply the lubricant between the belt and the deck. Use a silicone-based lubricant recommended by the manufacturer. Spread the lubricant evenly by running the treadmill at a slow speed for a few minutes.
To reset the console, turn off the treadmill and unplug it. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This should reset the console to its default settings.
Regular maintenance should be performed monthly. This includes checking belt tension, cleaning the treadmill deck, and lubricating the belt. Additionally, inspect and tighten any loose bolts and screws every three months.
If the treadmill stops suddenly, check the power cord and ensure it is securely plugged in. Inspect the circuit breaker and reset it if necessary. Also, verify that the safety key is properly inserted.
To clean the treadmill, first unplug it. Use a damp cloth to wipe the console, handrails, and other surfaces. Vacuum the area around the motor cover to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals on any part of the treadmill.
A squeaking noise may indicate that the treadmill belt needs lubrication or that there is an issue with the roller bearings. Lubricate the belt first, and if the noise persists, inspect the rollers or consult a professional technician.
If the display is not working, check the power source and ensure the treadmill is plugged in properly. Inspect the connection between the console and the treadmill base. If the problem continues, contact Horizon Fitness customer support for assistance.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with your treadmill as it may not provide adequate power and could lead to electrical issues. If necessary, use a heavy-duty extension cord that meets the treadmill's power requirements.
