To lubricate the deck of the Horizon Fitness DT680 treadmill, first, ensure the treadmill is unplugged. Lift the belt slightly and apply a silicone-based lubricant along the deck's length. Run the treadmill at a slow speed for 5-10 minutes to evenly distribute the lubricant.
If the treadmill belt slips, adjust the tension screws located at the back of the treadmill. Turn the screws clockwise to tighten the belt, ensuring both sides are adjusted equally. Test the belt tension by walking on it and make further adjustments if necessary.
An E1 error code typically indicates a communication problem between the console and motor control board. Check all wire connections for secure attachment and inspect for any visible damage. If the issue persists, contact Horizon Fitness customer support for further assistance.
Regular maintenance includes checking and tightening all bolts and screws, vacuuming the motor area to remove dust, inspecting and lubricating the belt and deck every 3 months, and ensuring the power cord is in good condition.
To align the treadmill belt, identify which side the belt is drifting towards. Use the adjustment screws at the rear of the treadmill, turning the screw on the side the belt is drifting towards clockwise, and the opposite side counterclockwise. Make small adjustments and check alignment by running the treadmill at a slow speed.
Ensure the treadmill is plugged into a working outlet and the safety key is inserted properly. Check the circuit breaker on the treadmill and reset it if tripped. If the treadmill still does not start, inspect the power cord for damage and test the outlet with another device.
To calibrate the speed, enter the treadmill's engineering mode by holding specific buttons as outlined in the user manual. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust the speed settings, ensuring accurate speed readings during workouts.
Clean the treadmill after every workout session. Wipe down the console, handrails, and belt with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Monthly, vacuum around and under the treadmill to prevent dust buildup.
Signs that the treadmill belt needs replacement include noticeable wear and tear, fraying edges, a smooth or slick surface, and if the belt feels loose even after tension adjustments. Unusual noises during operation can also indicate the need for replacement.
To move the treadmill safely, first turn off and unplug the machine. Fold the treadmill deck up and lock it into place. Use the transport wheels by lifting the back of the treadmill and gently rolling it to the desired location. Ensure the path is clear of obstacles to prevent injury.
