To start the Flymo EasiGlide Plus 300V, first ensure it is plugged into a power source. Press the start button and simultaneously pull the lever towards the handle. Release the button while keeping the lever pulled to keep the mower running.
If the mower does not start, check the power supply and ensure the extension cable is connected properly. Inspect the fuse in the plug and replace if necessary. Ensure the safety lever is fully engaged while pressing the start button.
It is recommended to clean the mower after each use. Disconnect from the power supply, remove any grass clippings from under the hood, and use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Ensure the mower is dry before storing.
The optimal cutting height depends on the condition of your lawn. For a regular cut, set the height adjustment to 20mm. For longer grass, a higher setting such as 30mm or 40mm may be appropriate.
To adjust the cutting height, unplug the mower and turn it over. Remove the spacers on the blade and add or remove them to achieve the desired height setting. Reattach the blade securely before operating the mower.
Uneven cutting can be due to a dull blade. Sharpen or replace the blade if necessary. Also, ensure the lawn is dry and free of debris before mowing and that the mower is set to an appropriate cutting height.
To replace the blade, unplug the mower and turn it over. Use a wrench to unscrew the blade bolt, remove the old blade, and replace it with a new one. Ensure the new blade is correctly aligned and securely fastened.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged or unbalanced blade. Check the blade for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the blade is securely fastened and that the spacers are evenly distributed.
Before storing for winter, clean the mower thoroughly and ensure it's dry. Store in a dry, cool place, and cover it to protect from dust. Remove the blade if storing for extended periods to prevent rust.
Always wear sturdy shoes and protective eyewear. Ensure the power cable is kept clear of the cutting area. Do not mow wet grass to prevent slipping, and always unplug the mower before performing any maintenance.
