To turn on the Dimplex Castillo CST20, use the power switch located on the top right side of the unit. Ensure it is plugged into a power outlet before switching on.
If the flame effect is not working, check that the unit is plugged in and turned on. If the problem persists, inspect the flame effect bulb and replace it if necessary.
The Dimplex Castillo CST20 has two heat settings. Use the switches on the side to select between low and high heat settings.
Regularly dust the exterior and interior with a soft cloth. Ensure vents are clear of obstructions and check the condition of the power cable periodically.
Unusual noises may be due to loose components or debris inside the unit. Ensure the fire is turned off and cool before inspecting and tightening any loose parts.
To replace the bulb, first unplug the unit. Remove the back panel to access the bulb compartment. Replace with a bulb of the same type and wattage.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the electric fire due to safety risks. Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.
The unit is equipped with a safety cut-off. If overheating occurs, turn off the unit, unplug it, and allow it to cool. Check for blockages and ensure adequate ventilation.
For a more realistic flame effect, ensure the room is dimly lit and the reflective surfaces inside the unit are clean.
Ensure the unit is turned off, unplugged, and completely cool before storing. Cover with a protective cloth to prevent dust accumulation and store in a dry place.
