To turn on the DeLonghi TRD04 heater, plug it into a power outlet and switch the power button to the "On" position. Adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature setting.
Ensure that the heater is plugged in correctly and that the power switch is on. Check the thermostat setting and make sure it is set higher than the current room temperature. Also, ensure that the safety cut-off is not engaged.
It is recommended to clean the heater every month during the heating season. Ensure it is unplugged and cool before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the heater. Plug it directly into a wall outlet to avoid overheating and potential fire hazards.
Ensure the heater is unplugged and completely cool before storing. Clean the unit and wrap the cord neatly. Store it in a dry place away from moisture and dust.
The clicking noise is normal and occurs as the metal components expand and contract with temperature changes. It does not indicate a malfunction.
To improve efficiency, ensure doors and windows are closed to retain heat, use curtains to insulate windows, and keep the heater away from drafts.
While the DeLonghi TRD04 is designed with safety features, it is generally advised to turn off any space heater when unattended or while sleeping.
To reset the safety cut-off, turn off the heater and unplug it. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Ensure the unit is on a stable surface and is not overheating.
If the power cord is damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact DeLonghi customer support or a qualified technician for repair or replacement. Do not attempt to fix it yourself.
