To descale your DeLonghi ECP35.31.BK, fill the water tank with a descaling solution and water mix as specified in the manual. Run the machine without coffee until the tank is empty and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Ensure that the steam knob is fully turned on and that there is enough water in the tank. If the problem persists, check for blockages in the steam wand and clean it.
Use freshly ground coffee and ensure it is tamped evenly in the filter. Maintaining consistent brewing temperature and regularly cleaning the machine can also enhance espresso quality.
Ensure you are using the correct amount of coffee and that it is not too coarsely ground. Check for proper tamping pressure and make sure the machine reaches the right temperature before brewing.
After each use, wipe the frothing wand with a damp cloth and purge steam through it to clear any milk residue. For deeper cleaning, unscrew the nozzle and soak it in warm water.
Check if the water tank is properly inserted and if any seals are damaged or missing. Inspect the drip tray and ensure it is not overfilled. Tighten any loose components.
It is recommended to replace the water filter every two months or after 60 liters of water have passed through the machine, whichever comes first.
Ensure the machine is preheated before use. You can also warm your cup by rinsing it with hot water before brewing. If the issue persists, check the temperature settings if available.
Regularly clean the portafilter, filter baskets, and brew head. Use filtered water to minimize mineral buildup and descale the machine as needed.
A fine grind is recommended for espresso machines like the DeLonghi ECP35.31.BK. It should be finer than table salt but not as fine as powder.
