To change the temperature settings, locate the temperature control dial inside the refrigerator. Turn the dial to the desired setting. A higher number typically indicates a colder temperature.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure the thermostat is set to the correct temperature. Clean the condenser coils and check for obstructed airflow inside the fridge.
To defrost the freezer, remove all food items, unplug the refrigerator, and leave the freezer door open. Place towels around the base to catch melting ice. Once defrosted, clean and dry the compartment before plugging it back in.
Regularly clean the condenser coils, usually every 6 months, to ensure efficient operation. Check door seals for any damage and clean them monthly with warm soapy water.
Check the drain pan under the refrigerator and empty it if full. Inspect the door seals for proper sealing and clean the defrost drain if blocked.
Unusual noises can result from the refrigerator being unlevel, items inside vibrating, or the condenser fan being obstructed. Make sure the fridge is level, rearrange items, and check the fan.
Avoid placing the refrigerator near heat sources and ensure good ventilation around it. Keep the door closed as much as possible and defrost regularly.
Check if the bulb is burnt out and replace it if necessary. Ensure the refrigerator is plugged in and the door switch is functioning properly.
Ensure the freezer door is closing properly and not left open for long periods. Regularly check and clean the door seals to prevent air leaks.
Unplug the refrigerator, remove all food items, and use a mixture of warm water and mild detergent to wipe down all surfaces. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth before restocking.
