To start a wash cycle, ensure the dishwasher is loaded correctly, add detergent, close the door, and select your desired wash program using the control panel. Press the start button to initiate the cycle.
Check if the dishwasher is plugged in and the door is properly closed. Ensure that the water supply is turned on and the control panel is set correctly. If it still doesn’t start, inspect the circuit breaker and reset if necessary.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as this helps with drying. Also, select a higher temperature wash cycle and open the door slightly after the cycle to let steam escape.
Remove the lower rack to access the filter. Twist the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris and use a soft brush for stubborn particles. Reinstall by placing it back and twisting clockwise.
A white residue is often due to hard water. Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled. You may also need to use a dishwasher cleaner or descale the unit to remove mineral buildup.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the start/cancel button for about 3 seconds. This should clear any current cycle or error code.
Check for blockages in the drain hose and ensure it is not kinked. Clean the filter and check the garbage disposal connection if applicable. If the problem persists, inspect the drain pump for clogs.
Do not use regular dish soap as it can create excessive suds and overflow. Use only dishwasher-specific detergents for optimal performance and to avoid damage.
It's recommended to clean the spray arms every few months. Remove them by unscrewing the retaining nut, rinse under water, and use a toothpick to clear blocked holes. Reattach securely once cleaned.
Regularly clean the filter, check and refill rinse aid, inspect and clean spray arms, and run a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner monthly. Also, check hoses for leaks or wear.
