To adjust the temperature, locate the digital display panel inside the refrigerator. Use the up and down arrows to set your desired temperature. Recommended settings are 3-5°C for the refrigerator and -18°C for the freezer.
First, ensure the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Check the temperature settings. Clean the condenser coils at the back of the unit and ensure the door seals are not damaged. If the issue persists, contact De Dietrich customer support.
The De Dietrich DRS921JE features a No Frost system, which prevents ice build-up, so manual defrosting is not required. However, cleaning is recommended every 6 months.
Use a mild detergent and warm water to clean the interior shelves and drawers. For the exterior, use a soft cloth and a gentle cleaner to avoid scratches. Avoid abrasive materials and solvents.
Locate the water filter compartment, usually at the bottom front of the refrigerator. Twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove it, and insert the new filter by twisting it clockwise until secure. Run water through the dispenser for 5 minutes to clear any air or impurities.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Clear any debris from the drain hole, typically located at the back of the fridge compartment, using a pipe cleaner or similar tool.
Check if the bulb is securely screwed in. If not, tighten it. If the bulb is burnt out, replace it with a new one of the same type and wattage. Ensure the refrigerator is properly connected to power.
Ensure food is covered or sealed. Regularly clean spills and expired items. Use a box of baking soda or a refrigerator deodorizer to absorb odors.
Store raw meats on the bottom shelves to prevent contamination. Use crisper drawers for fruits and vegetables. Ensure air circulation by not overcrowding shelves.
Ensure the refrigerator is level and on a stable surface. Check for loose items inside the fridge. If the noise persists, it may be due to the compressor or fan, and a technician should be consulted.
