Ensure the gas supply is connected. Open the lid, turn the burner control knob to "ignite" and press the ignition button.
Check the gas supply and connections, ensure the igniter is free of debris, and replace the battery if necessary.
Preheat the grill, then use a grill brush to clean the grates. For deep cleaning, soak them in warm soapy water and scrub.
Clean the grill thoroughly, disconnect the propane tank, and store it in a dry place with a grill cover.
Check for blockages in the burner tubes and ensure the grill is on a level surface. Adjust the burner settings if needed.
Regularly clean the igniter tip, check for loose wires, and replace the ignition battery as needed.
Trim excess fat from meats, use a drip pan, and avoid cooking on high heat. Keep a spray bottle of water nearby for small flare-ups.
Ensure the propane tank is full, check for leaks in the hose, and ensure the burner tubes are clean and unobstructed.
Secure the lid with a strap, disconnect and safely store the propane tank, and place the grill in a stable position during transport.
Coat the grates with vegetable oil, heat the grill to medium-high for 15 minutes, then let it cool. This helps create a non-stick surface.
