Craftsman CMXGVAM1144037 Operator's Manual V2

Ensure the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline, set the choke to the "ON" position, pull the starter rope slowly until resistance is felt, then pull with a rapid motion.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum 87 octane rating. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each season.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and in good condition, and verify the choke is set correctly. Clean or replace the air filter if needed.
Adjust the tilling depth by moving the depth stake to the desired position. Raise the stake for deeper tilling and lower it for shallow tilling.
Regularly check for debris and clean the tines after each use. Sharpen or replace the tines if they become dull or damaged.
Drain the fuel, clean the tiller thoroughly, and store it in a dry, protected area. Remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter rope to distribute the oil.
It is not recommended to use the tiller on rocky soil as it can damage the tines. Remove large rocks from the area before tilling.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove the belt guard, and then remove the old belt. Install the new belt by positioning it on the pulleys as per the manual instructions. Reattach the belt guard and reconnect the spark plug.
Excessive vibration can be caused by loose or damaged tines, unbalanced wheels, or engine issues. Check and tighten all bolts and nuts, inspect the tines, and ensure the engine is running smoothly.
