To start the blower, ensure the unit is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the full choke position, press the primer bulb 5-6 times until fuel is visible, and pull the starter rope until the engine starts. Then, move the choke lever to the run position.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine oil in a 40:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of 89 or higher and is ethanol-free if possible.
Check that the fuel tank has the correct fuel mixture. Ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Verify that the air filter is clean and the fuel is fresh. Also, ensure the choke lever is in the correct position.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and wash it with soapy water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. If the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Check the air filter and spark plug before each use. Clean or replace them as necessary. Inspect the fuel system every season and replace the fuel filter annually. Regularly check for loose or damaged parts.
Drain the fuel tank completely and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the exterior, check for any damage, and store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Check if the air filter is clogged and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the fuel mixture is correct and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Also, check the exhaust for blockages.
Remove the spark plug boot by pulling it off the plug. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Check the gap on the new spark plug and install it by turning it clockwise until snug, then attach the boot.
Wear safety goggles, ear protection, and gloves. Keep bystanders and pets away while operating the blower. Avoid using the blower in poorly ventilated areas to prevent inhalation of exhaust fumes.
Locate the throttle adjustment screw on the carburetor. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the engine speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust until the desired throttle response is achieved.
