To update the firmware, download the latest firmware update from the Cobra website onto a microSD card. Insert the card into the dash cam and turn on the device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
If the dash cam turns off unexpectedly, check the power connection to ensure it is secure. Verify that the power cable is not damaged. Also, check the vehicle's power outlet. If the problem persists, try using a different power outlet or cable.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from smudges. Set the video resolution to the highest setting available in the menu. Position the camera to have a clear, unobstructed view of the road.
The Cobra CDR 900 C supports microSD cards up to 64GB in size. Make sure to format the card in the camera before use to ensure compatibility.
Loop recording is typically enabled by default. To verify, go to the settings menu and ensure the loop recording option is turned on. You can set the loop interval (e.g., 3, 5, or 10 minutes) as per your preference.
Remove the microSD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Alternatively, you can connect the camera directly to your computer using a USB cable and access the files.
Ensure that the night vision feature is enabled in the settings. Check that the windshield is clean and that there are no obstructions in front of the camera. Adjust the exposure settings if necessary to improve night recording quality.
To reset the dash cam to factory settings, go to the settings menu and select the 'Reset' or 'Restore Factory Settings' option. Confirm the action when prompted.
Regularly clean the camera lens and windshield for optimal recording quality. Check the power connections periodically and ensure the device firmware is up to date. Also, format the microSD card every few months to prevent file corruption.
