To set up the Carlton SU1000 Facial Steamer, first, place the unit on a stable, level surface. Fill the water tank with distilled water up to the indicated level. Attach the tank securely to the main unit, plug in the steamer, and switch it on. Allow a few minutes for the unit to heat up before use.
If your steamer is not producing steam, check that the water tank is filled and properly attached. Ensure that the power cord is plugged in and the unit is switched on. If there is still no steam, inspect the tank for lime scale build-up and clean it using a mixture of vinegar and water.
It is recommended to clean the Carlton SU1000 Facial Steamer after every 10 uses to ensure optimal performance. Regular cleaning prevents mineral deposits and bacteria build-up in the system.
It is not recommended to use tap water in the Carlton SU1000 Facial Steamer. Distilled water is preferred as it prevents mineral deposits and prolongs the life of the unit.
After using the facial steamer, turn it off and unplug it. Allow the unit to cool down completely before emptying any remaining water. Clean and dry the water tank, then store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
To prevent lime scale build-up, use only distilled water in your steamer. Regularly clean the unit by running a mixture of vinegar and water through it to dissolve any mineral deposits.
If the steam output is weak, check the water level and ensure the tank is securely attached. Inspect the unit for lime scale or blockages and clean if necessary. Make sure the steamer is fully heated before use.
Adding essential oils directly to the water tank is not recommended as they can damage the unit. Instead, use a separate aromatherapy chamber if your model includes one, or apply oils to your skin after steaming.
For daily use, empty and rinse the water tank after each session. Perform a deep clean with vinegar and water weekly to prevent mineral build-up. Regular inspections for wear and tear are also advised.
A typical facial steam session should last between 5 to 10 minutes. Prolonged exposure can lead to skin irritation, so it's important to limit the duration.
