To transfer photos, connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable. Turn on the camera, and your computer should recognize it as a removable drive. You can then copy the photos to your computer.
First, ensure that the battery charger is plugged in correctly and that the power outlet is functioning. If the battery still does not charge, try using a different charger or battery to determine if the issue is with the charger or battery itself.
To reset the camera settings, go to the menu, select 'Tools', then choose 'Reset All' to restore the camera to its default settings.
Blurry images can be caused by camera shake or incorrect focus. Ensure you are holding the camera steady or using a tripod. Check that the autofocus is set correctly and that the lens is clean.
The Canon IXUS 860 IS does not have a hot shoe for an external flash. However, you can use a slave flash that triggers when the camera's built-in flash fires.
To enable macro mode, press the left arrow on the control dial until the flower icon appears on the screen. This allows you to focus on subjects as close as 3 cm.
The Canon IXUS 860 IS supports video recording at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second.
To extend battery life, reduce the use of the LCD screen, disable the flash when not needed, and turn off the camera when not in use. Using the viewfinder instead of the LCD can also help conserve battery.
If the camera does not turn on, check that the battery is charged and inserted correctly. If the issue persists, try using a different battery to determine if the battery is faulty.
To set the date and time, turn on the camera, press the 'Menu' button, navigate to the 'Setup' menu, and select 'Date/Time'. Adjust the settings using the control dial and confirm your selection.
