The recommended oil type for the Cadillac XLR 2007 is 5W-30 synthetic oil.
It's advisable to change the oil every 7,500 miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first.
To reset the 'Check Engine' light, you can use an OBD-II scanner after fixing the underlying issue. Alternatively, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, but this may reset other settings.
First, check for blown fuses, then ensure the navigation disc is clean and properly inserted. If the issue persists, a system reset or software update may be needed.
The recommended tire pressure is 30 psi for both the front and rear tires.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance, keep tires properly inflated, reduce excess weight, and drive smoothly avoiding rapid acceleration and heavy braking.
Check if there's a parasitic drain by testing the electrical system, ensure the alternator is charging properly, and replace the battery if it's old or damaged.
Open the glove box, remove the limiting stop arm, and lower the glove box fully. The cabin air filter is located behind it; remove the cover and replace the filter.
Common causes include a malfunctioning thermostat, low coolant levels, a faulty radiator, or a failing water pump.
Inspect the suspension components for wear or damage, including bushings and struts. Lubricate any dry parts and replace damaged components as needed.
