Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is functioning, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify that the battery is charged.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season for optimal performance.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F, and for temperatures below 40°F, use SAE 5W-30.
Ensure the blades are sharp, the deck is level, the tire pressure is consistent, and the cutting height is properly set.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Regular maintenance, such as changing the oil, replacing the air filter, and ensuring the tire pressure is correct, can improve fuel efficiency.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the alternator is functioning, and test the battery voltage. Replace the battery if necessary.
Locate the height adjustment lever, usually found near the driver's seat, and move it to the desired cutting height position.
Clean the tractor, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, remove the battery, and store it in a cool dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
