To start the tractor, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the transmission is in neutral, and the PTO is disengaged. Turn the ignition key to the 'Start' position and release it when the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is functioning, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, consult the engine manual for further troubleshooting steps.
Change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once a season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for warmer temperatures and SAE 5W-30 for colder conditions.
Perform routine checks every 25 hours, including air filter cleaning, oil level inspection, and blade sharpening. Conduct more comprehensive maintenance, such as oil changes and spark plug inspection, every 50 hours.
Ensure the mowing deck is level and the blades are sharp. Check for obstructions or damage to the blades and adjust the tire pressure to ensure even cutting.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Reduce the speed and avoid sharp turns. Consider using tire chains or weights to improve traction. Always mow slopes side-to-side rather than up and down.
Check for loose or damaged blades and ensure that all mounting hardware is secure. Inspect the drive belts and pulleys for wear or damage.
Ensure the tractor is off and the parking brake is engaged. Lift the mower deck, remove the blade bolts, and replace the blades. Ensure the new blades are properly aligned and securely fastened.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10 to prevent engine damage.
